Gentlemen this is our third hop.....
Plenty to report on this time in the world of Aggressors, starting with a very recent news story; you may of heard about the unfortunate Airliner accident that lead to a woman being sucked out of the window after the engine exploded in flight! A tragic story that could of been much worse were it not for the professionalism of the pilot in handling the emergency, luckily for the passengers the pilot was ex US Navy pilot Tammie Jo Shults who had huge flying experience to draw upon; amongst which was as an Adversary Pilot for VAQ-34 flying the A-7 and F/A-18.

Some kit news, Special Hobby have continued their 1/48 Viggen family with the SK-37E two seat version which among other roles has been employed as an ECM trainer and Aggressor, markings for an "Electronic Aggressor" are included in this version, you've gotta love the Swedish splinter camo and the challenge that it presents.

I cant find a great deal on the Viggen being used in this role but did find this excellent video of the aircraft from the boxart taking part in an exercise.
You would have thought that the Isreali Airforce (IAF) would of had more than enough experience at actual combat and that an Aggressor squadron would be unnecessary, but apparently not!! 115th Dragon Squadron are a dedicated Aggressor squadron for the IAF, one of the last to retire the veteran F-16A models for C's.
